Privacy policy

ReelDone, of 3801 West Temple Avenue, Pomona, CA 91768, runs this service and is responsible for your data. Questions or requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your footage, and with it the voices and faces of you and anyone else in it.
- Transcripts we make from the audio, with the time of every word.
- Your script and the brief, pasted or uploaded as a file, the hook you pick and the changes you ask for.
- Music you upload.
- Your email address, to sign you in and to tell you about your plan and your reels.
- Your password, if you set one, stored only as a scrambled hash we can't read back. If you sign in with Google, we get only your email address and a Google account ID from Google.
- Your IP address, to keep the service safe (for example, to limit sign-in attempts).
- Your plan and payments: what you pay for and when. Stripe handles your card; we never see the full card number.
How we use it
Only to make your reels, deliver them, sign you in, bill you, answer you and keep the service working and safe. We transcribe the audio on our own servers. We may detect where faces are in a frame so text can be placed around them; we never recognise or identify anyone. We don't use your footage to train AI models, we don't sell your data, and we don't use it for ads.
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic (Claude API) plans and checks the edit. It receives the transcripts, your script and brief, and still frames from your footage, which may show faces. It doesn't receive your audio or the full footage. Anthropic's commercial terms say it doesn't train its models on what is sent through its API.
- Google Cloud runs the servers that store your files and make your reels. Google also signs you in, if you choose "Continue with Google".
- Stripe takes payments and holds your card details.
- Resend sends our emails, such as your sign-in codes and "your reel is ready".
- Cloudflare serves this website, carries the connection to our servers, runs the bot check on the sign-in page and forwards email sent to [email protected].
Some of them may handle data outside your country, under their own data protection terms.
How long we keep it
- Raw footage: 7 days after you make the reel (footage you upload but never use is deleted sooner). The same goes for the files of a reel that failed, so you can try again.
- Finished reels: 90 days, so you can download them again.
- Share links: a link you send someone works until you turn it off, which you can do at any time, and stops when the reel is deleted.
- Your account: while it's open. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Deleting your data and your other rights
You can delete a reel yourself. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and everything in it deleted, email [email protected] from the address you sign in with. We'll do it within 30 days and tell you when it's done. Payment records we must keep by law are the exception.
Cookies
The app uses one strictly necessary cookie, which keeps you signed in. This website sets none and stores nothing in your browser. It counts visits without knowing who you are: only the page, the day and where the visit came from (for example "reddit" or "google"). No IP address, browser ID or anything else that could identify you is kept with that count. If you then make an account, we note that source on it so we know which places bring creators. There are no ad trackers and no third-party scripts.
Children
The service is for adults. Footage of anyone under 18 may only be uploaded with their parent's or guardian's consent.
Security
Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Your reels are seen only by you, the people you share a link with, and us when we need to look into a problem or a request from you.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you before it applies.
